The importance of philanthropy and stewardship are at the heart of who Ron is as a person – not just his position with the Virginia Baptist Foundation. He says, "I am inspired by people who seek to make this world a better place for others. It is a privilege to walk with them as they honor God by being good stewards.”
Before coming to the foundation in 1996, Ron was a pastor. A native of Richmond, he’s a graduate of Bluefield College and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His work with the foundation is also supported by studies with the National Planned Giving Institute of the College of William and Mary.
Ron and his wife, Celeste, attend Richmond’s Derbyshire Baptist Church. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.
