Moving your mission forward.

Every organization has a personality. The Virginia Baptist Foundation is permeated with enthusiasm and a desire to help one-on-one. The members of our team share not only a commitment to our mission, but also a genuine interest in providing responsive and friendly support. No matter your needs, you can call on us.

Ron Hall
Ron Hall
Chief Executive Officer
The importance of philanthropy and stewardship are at the heart of who Ron is as a person – not just his position with the Virginia Baptist Foundation. He says, "I am inspired by people who seek to make this world a better place for others. It is a privilege to walk with them as they honor God by being good stewards.” Before coming to the foundation in 1996, Ron was a pastor. A native of Richmond, he’s a graduate of Bluefield College and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His work with the foundation is also supported by studies with the National Planned Giving Institute of the College of William and Mary. Ron and his wife, Celeste, attend Richmond’s Derbyshire Baptist Church. They have two adult daughters and a granddaughter.
Todd Fuller
Todd Fuller
Chief Financial Officer
Todd has been managing the finances of the foundation since 1990. He brought sound experience from the public accounting firm of Cherry Bekaert, along with his education from Radford University. Growing up in Ridgeway, Virginia, Todd’s fingerprints are found on every aspect of the foundation. “When I’m not in the office, I pass the time coaching kids’ soccer and playing golf with my son,” Todd says. “My wife, Lori, our son, and two daughters take much of my time. Together we attend Gayton Baptist Church in Glen Allen.”
Cindy Elmore
Cindy Elmore
Director of Development
“I like to find ways to help donors make more impact with their gifts, and find ways for churches to multiply ministry dollars,” says Cindy. With that spirit, she leads the foundation’s efforts for Southwest Virginia from our Roanoke office. She joined the foundation in 2011, and brings a master’s degree in public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has 25 years of experience in public relations, marketing and fundraising, and is also a Certified Fund Raising. “Since I travel throughout Southwest Virginia, my car often takes me to my gorgeous grandson, Rory,” Cindy says. Watching Auburn football games and eating Alabama peaches get her hyped. Ministry is her real passion since she is married to Joe, who has been pastoring in Virginia for 17 years.
Jeff Ukrop
Jeff Ukrop
Development Officer
“Yes, I sold groceries for many years,” Jeff says with a smile. “but I now use the operational and service principles learned in a family business to assist churches and families in identifying creative ways for enhanced stewardship.” Jeff is a Richmond native and a Furman University graduate. He is a lifelong member of Virginia Baptist churches, currently a member of Gayton Baptist Church. He and his wife, Nicole, chase their two sons all over town, from lap lanes to Spartan Races, so their couch is reserved for recuperation! Jeff’s favorite book has pictures in it and he enjoys singing along with recording artists like Chris Rice and Andrew Peterson.
Janet Bess
Janet Bess
Staff Accountant
Janet has the important task of keeping the books for the foundation. “I actually find it challenging to assist with the financial side of our organization,” she says. She certainly is more than capable, having gained extensive experience in business during 12 years with the Virginia Baptist Resource Center and several years in banking before joining the foundation. “People find it interesting when I tell them about my educational background – I have a B.A. in English literature and history from Old Dominion University, and that’s quite different from accounting,” she says. “But I’ve always gotten a lot of satisfaction out of the discipline and organization that accounting requires.” Janet is a Virginia native and a member of Bon Air Baptist Church.
Wendy Reynolds
Wendy Reynolds
Account Manager
Wendy has extensive experience in stewardship, having served in a number of capacities at the International Mission Board for 17 years, before joining the Foundation in 1998. “My work puts me in contact with many individuals and churches as well as the institutions we serve,” she says. “It’s exciting to be right at the heart of this ministry.” Wendy and her husband, Glenn, are active members of Atlee Community Church. She says, “Blessed to have three daughters and five grandkids. They all keep me busy, but I try to make time for camping, music and reading.”
